IF you can, go have a look outside to the northern horison, I think there are some very faint NLCs in that direction at the moment.

on second thought, they only lasted about 10-15 mins or so, maybe they were very faint passing strato clouds illuminated by the moon ?!?

I was out there with the camera but there was just too much cloud to the north with me. A very experienced astronomy friend of mine elsewhere just told me he is seeing signs of a display tonight. Don't know what the signs are tho but he is rarely wrong.
