Intersting German Telescope Dealer. was created by DaveGrennan
I came across an outfit Called 'Telescope-service' they're a german outfit who will ship worldwide. They engineer and manufacture many of their own gear. The interesting thing is the price. SOme of the stuff looks very reasonable.

They also have a pretty decent website.

Anyone come across these guys before, opinions?

You'd wonder are they re-badged Celestons. The Eyepiece Accessory kit looks very like the Celeston one I saw in AI (and elsewhere). Even the deal is similar - buy with a scope and get 200 off.

Dave G - looks interesting. Orion scopes, Celestron kit, Euro prices! Lots of choice as well. Looks like it will be well worth a good trawl through the site and using it for price comparsions.

Hi Guys

I not too sure on their telescope supplies but I have bought binoculars from them in the past - They have the European dealership for Kunming Optical Instrument Co in China (The same ones are sold in the US primarilly by Oberwerk Corp) - Kunming will only sell in bulk to the trade & I know they are also the "giant/big" binocular producers for Celestron in the US, Strathspey in the UK, etc ...... infact almost all the big binoculars originate there and then badged for the respective companies/venders - Maybe there is a similar system in the telescope world community?

From a sales, pricing & service point of view I have found Telescope-Service to be extremely good & they shipped to Dublin (via UPS) within 3 days......

I also know that they have an online store on ebay under the dealership id of wolfi24 Which is how I found them......

But you do get to see what their customers thought of them.....If you speak German............

From a personal point of view.... If I was in the market for a telescope (if I knew anything about telescopes  ) they would be my first stop.

Maybe this will help you.....

Hiya,

I dont think they are rebadged celestrons. The do some celestron gear but its fairly clearly advertised as such. One thing that caught my attention was an 8inch OTA (Reflector) for 398E. Thats pretty good value IMHO.

Anyway I dont see any problem with rebadging celestron gear

Arclight, thanks for your input. Very useful indeed. Its always great to hear from someone who has tested the proverbial waters!

One of the things I like the look of is their 2 inch crayford focusser for €98
