I also spent alot of the weekend fitting out the observatory with proper tables.
www.irishastronomy.org/user_resources/fi...22-mytableindome.jpg
I went for a continuous tables that hugs the 4 walls, this gives me plenty of room to work with. I also put a second monitor on an adjustable swingarm, this is very convienent as I can get it out of the way when not used, and when I do use it, its great when trying to focus the webcam and canon as you can put it right next to the scope. You can also run starry night on one monitor and guiddog+firefox+winamp on the other
We're not quite finished as ineed to make a proper cabinet for the pc and do some tiding up of the cables.

Dave - you got an external shot? Don't think I've ever seen it.
By the way, there's new series of 'Changing Rooms' coming on soon - if you wrote in and were picked, what would you do the other's observatory?
Cheers
Dave
ps - both of them are crying out for a designation

I haven't replied much to this thread, but Dave and Mike, you are both somewhat of an inspiration to those of us wanting to do this kind of project. Its something I can't wait to get into. I hope, in a couple of years time when I am building my second house in the middle of no where ( ), that I'll be able to wrap in an Observatory at the same time!
Thanks for sharing!
Seanie.

Here are 2 pics of the dome
The second one was a sunrise in january after a little light snow.
Seanie, why dont you build one now, its not a massive job, I have light pollution, dont wait for things to be perfect or it'll never get built.
Dave MCD, a good question
