No problem Dave, absolutely any time! You do have a point about an observatory. I have played with the idea of a parting pitched-roof timber shed converted into an observatory. Money is tigh, as the new house is taking more funds than anything else, so I might hold out a while.

Me? In the spare room, under the stairs, and my parents shed! I have 4 scopes. Part of my problem is not having a shed in the garden yet to put all these and other shed-related items out of the house!

Mine is in the living room, but think ill move it down were its colder. More work to get it out but its so light anyway. :P

I haven't replied much to this thread, but Dave and Mike, you are both somewhat of an inspiration to those of us wanting to do this kind of project. Its something I can't wait to get into.

Well, started work on a warm room/extension last weekend. Got all the construction done during the course of the weekend. Approx dimensions of the room are 5ft x 4ft.
Below are a few images:






Just placed my order for a Meade 12" SCT OTA. My mount should be here next month. Simply can't wait!
