When do you think Michael, that you'll be finished, or atleast in a position to leave the scope out there ??
Dave,
There isn't much left to do. probelm at the mo is that work is really busy and by the time I'm home, it's dark. All I need to do to weather-prrof it is to hang the door. I cut the door a bot last night to fit the new size ope. Alll I need to do now is hang it. After that, It's ready for use.
As a temporary step, I'll use the tripod. I can always build a pillar after. I also need to add the timber struts across the roof to keep the bamboo on the roof. That's pretty much it then.
Clear skies,

I look forward to seeing it again when its complete.
I was searching the web for domes and observatoreis and I've found a dome that will work with a big trus Dob, but you'd need a big wallet and a big garden

Well done.
I too like the idea of a 'scope-house-warming party, though you mightn't...

Big dome and big price to match I'd say! You can buy me one for Christmas if you like!

I'm on for a observatory-warming alright when it's finished. Only question is, when will it actually be finished...the more I do, the more ideas I get and see ways of improving it!
