Dave,

I hope I catch you in you time .... an SBIG CCD camera (with/without a filter wheel) comes in a matching case which very easily can pass for a piece of luggage. At the same time, it can easily fit in a real traveler's piece of luggage.

Given that such an item will set you back a few thousand dollars, it would be my first choice if a friend/relative were to visit from the US since the savings from customs/VAT etc would be relatively steep and it is sufficiently small not to inconvenience the personal courier! ;-)

PS. If you are looking for a small premium APO, here is another possibility. Another easy fit for a traveler's piece of luggage.
