Hi all,
does anyone know where I can get a few pairs of Mylar Suglasses? (it is MYLAR right?) for the June 8th Transit?
Regards,
Seanie.

I think all the astronomy shops and dealers can probably get you an A4 sheet of Baader solar film which you can make into glasses. Its around 20EUR or something a sheet I think.
dont know where to buy them premade.

I carefully bubble wrapped a few eclipse glasses after the 1999 solar eclipse so I'm going to resurrect them and hand them out to friends to use. As you suggest, it should also be simple to make up a pair from a sheet of the Baader astro solar film and a Cornflake packet.

Of course, to get the mylar... that leaves the option of mail-order then...
