Stubborn grease on lens!!! was created by dpower
Hi All,
Somehow I managed to get a rather greasy fingerprint on my nice camera lens!
I've used a trusted spec-savers cloth to try and remove it, but it just seems to push it around. Don't want to damage the lens, and I fear if I keep rubbing it it's just going to get worse.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Dave

Hi, maybe you could try to take it off with some water maybe : but don't let it seep into the guts of it or the electronics...

Which type of specsavers cloth did you use - the standard one or the one for coated lenses? I find the one for coated lenses very good.
Specsavers also sell a cleaning solution for coated lenses. Perhaps give this a try.

Couldn't tell you which type of cloth it is. Might pop over to Specsavers and have a chat with them.
Not sure about the water suggestion- water is generally not the best substance for tackling grease- have you tried this?
Thanks Guys,
Dave

Water won't do much i'm afraid. Water and oil don't mix.
