New series of scopes from Meade was created by michaeloconnell
Hi,
Just came across this in the last few minutes.
Meade have announced a new line-up of scopes. They'll be similar to the LXD55s. Basically, an improved version by the sounds of it.

Its amazing how fast technology is moving.
I'm surprised they'd replace the LXD55 completely, its out only 2-3 years now, looking forward to seeing the picture the new scope.
Were they having alot of trouble with it ??
Look at the LX90, and ETX range, they're around a fair while at this stage, and the LX200s where there about 10 years before they changed it in 2001.

Hi,

From what I've heard from LXD55 users lists, this `new` scope is basically the same OTA but with an improved mount. The prices seem a little cheaper than what the LXD55 was selling for so folks are definatly adoping a wait and see attitude.

Cheers,
~Al
