Mirror needs aluminising.

I have an old 8.75 inch f6 mirror which needs re-aluminising and overcoating.

(Its time I resurrected my old Dob and put it permanently in the garden for quick use. I too find "setting up" the hi tech scopes a chore on many nights....when I know the clouds are lurking behind the hill...waiting for their chance to pounce.)

Does anyone know where I can get aluminising done in Ireland ,or the next door island.

Like Gordon said pmgisme, you will have to take the chance of sending it across the water. Orion Optics are also another trusted aluminising company I have used.

I've used galvoptics before and they do a great job including removal of the old coating for very reasonable prices.
