Gemini G41 Observatory+ has finally arrived was created by michaeloconnell
Well, she's finally here! After years of saving and many months of research into mounts, she's finally arrived in the door. For some images see: www.astroshot.com/Mount/index.html
(images might be a bit slow for dial-up users - apologies. They are in B/W as I took them with the modified 300d. Need to get a correction filter for the front of the lens.)

The mount head arived in the plastic case. The counterweights (4x9kg) arrived in the timber case. Hope to have it setup fully in the observatory tomorrow night.

Some details on the mount itself:

Congratulations Michael. May your telescope be ecstatic riding upon her... Any idea of a name? Danni? (Why's it always a she?).

Great pics and what packaging - they're obviously a Company that really cares for their stuff.

I hope she brings you many years of joy!

Dave
