www.losmandy.co.uk = venturescope. Ninian Boyle is a nice guy to deal with. Also, like David Stewart, i've dealt directly with Scott Losmandy and am very satisfied with the service.

Many thanks guys,

I'll try Venturescope today. I already have a DM8 dovetail so I guess this is the way to go.

Thought about trying to modify the rings but there wouldn't be much room to move the scope around in there to change the inclination.

Thanks for the replies,

Cheers,

Trev

Just received an email from Patrick in TS. They have them in stock, just not on the site.

However, he warned me it would not work with a Megrez 90 as it has 90mm tube behind the Dew shield & the DR160 only go down to 4.7". It's an odd scope with about 127mm at the front and 90mm for the main tube.

So I'll try and modify the current rings instead to try and get the Dew shield through.

Another example of how great telescope-service are. Very honest and good value vendor.

I have the 127mm (5") rings for my ZS80 and it works quite well.

I put the first ring just behind the dew shield and it stops the scope from moving and allows more than enough variance for getting guide stars etc.

Later,

Jed.
