This is the Meade e-bay store where they sell refurbished equipment for cheap. I just ordered the Meade LXD55 mount w/Autostar for $242. USD. That's a great price for a "GoTo" mount capable of handling most amateur equipment.

I didn't notice it before, but no they don't ship abroad. Sorry !

BUT ... there's always a way around that ... the price of $242. includes free shipping within the states ... how much could it cost to ship from New Jersey to Ireland? Do ya see where I'm going with this?

If any of y'all are really interested .. arangments can be made ..

Well, I've been looking for a way to get a motorised equatorial mount for the scope I've been building, without the guilt of delving into my deposit for a house! I might find something here, and take you up on your offer Ken!

The LXD55 mount and autostar for only $242 is an excellent deal.
I'd definetly go for it Seanie if I were you.
Just check to make sure first though that the mount capacity can handle the weight of your dob. If so, jump at it!
