Sky Atlas 2000 is vastly inferior to the Pocket Sky Atlas Donal.
It shows slightly fainter stars and that is its ONLY advantage.
Dont buy it.
Even the sequencing of the charts is flawed. The sequence apes the layout of a Terrestrial Atlas where you look DOWN on a globe.
You look UP UNDER the Celestial Globe.
This means that adjacent charts are not contiguous. Confusing if you don't know the sky.
You will end up framing it and putting it up on the wall,as I did,( the charts are very pretty).
No lines link constellation stars..a signpost for beginners.
The charts are too big and awkward for good field use.
They are UNUSABLE to someone whose knowledge of the sky is at Planisphere level.
Go for the Pocket Sky Atlas.
