One more thing, the add states that the max capacity of the mount is 13kgs, this is the first time I've ever seen a meade mount explicitly have its max weight defined, thats a heafty 30 lbs... pretty good.!

That's more than enough to carry any two of the OTAs that I already have :)

Made up my mind. I'm going to buy it if there's one left when I get there tomorrow morning. :D

I saw that to  the add also says that the polar finder is illuminated, thats surprisingly good :P

Buy a load of small watch batteries as I guarntee you will constanly forget to turn this off and the battery will run our no many how many times you stick labels on the mount to remind you!

I have one (for illuminated astrometric) for my 12" scope and ended up having to run it off the scope computer as, like yourself, I just ended up using a mountain load of batteries from times I forgot to turn it off.

Interesting what you say about the weight of your scope, some mounts specify the weight as excluding the counterweight, I dont know if thats the case here.

So did anyone get one, what is it like ???
