For a 10 inch mirror I built a box frame out of half inch Al tubing rivetted together with steel T pieces. Its very light and quite rigid - for covering I got some 1/8 inch plywood as used in modelling but havent been able to cover it yet due the rain. Origionally id intended covering with glassfibre but changed my mind after covering one side - far too messy.
