Howdy Fellas,
I have a question for any of you that has a Meade LXD55 mount w/Autostar. One of my buddies at NJ Night Sky recently purchased an LXD from the Meade ebay store and his question is......
After the mount is trained, calibrated and polar aligned, what side of the mount is the dec. motor, east or west ?
Although I purchased one of these mounts as well, I haven't had time to play with it yet. So I thought I would pose this question to our friends across the pond!
Thank you in advance for your help!
Kindest regards,
SometimesKen

I usually have mine on the western side of the OTA, but thats out of habit from following the pictures in magazines, rather than a bad experience putting it the other way! I dont think it matters but the archives of
groups.yahoo.com/group/LXD55telescopes/
should have more wisdon.
