YES.Do you know is it easy to dismount & remount the ETX OTA from
the forks?
Yes, but only if you try to put the tube back of the forks, it can be difficult to get the tube orthoganal with the forks, but not impossible, this is important for proper goto function.Can this lead to problems later?

Sorry Dave, I think you misunderstood me there.
I see that you said

I don't think I'll bother.
The ETX 125 as you say may indeed have better tracking in polar mode.
(Don't think I need a wedge as it has a Latitude bar - see avitar)
Anyway, with the luck I'm having with all my gear
(I forgot to tell you my new canon had to be sent back also!!)
I think it might be a wise move letting the one thing still working properly
well enough alone!
