I wish I could afford a flashy car. I have a pick up in order to transport my 10 inch SCT, tripod etc to star parties. For visual observations the larger the better but for imaging anthing goes. Check out Chris Warrens site. He uses a Tak 60 on a losmandy G11 to get wide field images.

At a star party a 66mm scope is so small no one would actually notice you had it. So hardly a status symbol.
