Linking webcam to webpage was created by michaeloconnell
Hi,
I'd like to setup a webcam to update an image onto a webpage every, say 5 minutes. Anyone done this before? Any software you'd recommend?
FWIW, I have a website and can host files etc. The only issues as I see it are saving a single image from a webcam and ensuring it overwrites itself every 5 minutes.
Any suggestions anyone?
Cheers,

I presume you're looking for something for Windows? I'm not big on Windows software but I guess what you want is something like Image Caster (
www.econtechnologies.com/site/Pages/Imag...mgcast_overview.html
) but for Windows.

Is this for security purposes?

Hello Michael,
I used this once on my site. I used 2 systems, one at
www.burtonhosting.com/download_area/shared_hosting/NFD/
see the link booruWebCam_v120.exe
and also pjWebCam.exe (cant remember where I got this)
You can try Download.com but usually there is a setting which allows the file, e.g. image.jpg to write over itself.
I ran a webcam on my site for about 3-4 months but got a bit paranoid and decided to stop it.
Hope you enjoy running your webcam and that this information helps !
