We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. . . .

I cant afford a 6" celestron refractor id say it wont be any use on an SCT! I cant use anything bigger than a 90mm refractor and at that size or about i will be able to afford it! So might aswell go for a high quality APO which can get great images without big blue colours streaking across the screen of my monitor!

Hey Matthew,
That looks like a great deal! I bet it's the same optics as the WO SD scopes.
BTW, pop up to the house on the next clear night & you can have a go with the WO90 to see if you like views. Only 10mm in the difference so it should show similar detail.

We'd still be in the stone age with an attitude like that. Scopes are just tools, they don't define the astronomer. You can learn an awful lot from astrophotography, and most astrophotographers don't just photograph.
John Dobson has some grass roots issues, but if we rule out computers etc, then say goodbye to any serious science - telemetry, spectrometry etc. etc.

John Dobson said that real Astromomers look at the sky.
Pretend Astronomers look at computer screens.
Hear Hear John Dobson.
(I' say that Dee would agree.)

Trevor i dont think i couldnt like the views through your scope! Thanks for the offer! it might be a while judging by todays weather  !
Most exoplanets and many celestial objects are and were discovered by astrophotography! sure, many objects were found by observing but youd be lying if you said photography had no part! Also, from what my dad said, through trevors scope the views were fantasmical! he said they were SOOOO sharp and crisp! So there not solely for astrophotography! Ive actually spotted 2 other scopes!
Please comment!

ooh, the first one looks great & it's by a reputable brand. I was going to get the predecessor to this scope for a long time until I finally settled on the WO.
I've always liked SkyWatcher scopes & my first one was by them (a 127mm Mak). Nice build quality.
Using fpl-53 should decrease the false colour alot.
Just found the product page.
