I think the similar sized WO scope is now discontinued! There still available new from the smaller dealers but its only a semi-APO and i think its a 1.25" whereas the revelation is a 2"! Aswell the revelation has a microfocuser of ratio 1:11 which is preferable to the normal focuser on the WO scope! I'm buyingan lx90 GOTO tomorrow so maybe on the fork mount but i'm buyimg a wedge also! So what results would you expect with a semi-APO? I dunno! I want to get a Barlow anyway but i know that the more lens the light goes through the worse the result! I have a canon 300d and hope to purchase a toucam pro!
Thanks for the advice and please keep it coming!

Hi Matthew

Did you get a shipping price for that?
I was quoted more than £100 pounds for shipping a 10" dob and £20 for shipping a pair of binos. Therefore you could be paying €50 or more, on top of the price of approximately €530, at the current exchange rate, therefore your 80mm scope could cost close to €600, and that's before you buy a finderscope.

Give it careful consideration.

I have a 4" achromat celestron refractor and it does show the typical achro faint blue tinge on some objects. If you want un-abberated/minimal colour distortion, then it has to be a APO for a refractor.
A WO is a great choice.
The M31 image looks perfect, go for it !
