Definitely not your normal telescope. A cinetheodelite is designed to record missile or bomb tests, and other fast-moving aerial phenomena.

It's essentially the optical tube and alt-az mount of a specialized f/6 cinecamera.

Yeah, recently outbid on a SAM system mounted on a re-inforced Hummer chassis. - Bummer.
Mind you it would have looked weird parked outside my semi-D-3bed, but it would have been a convenient way to reduce contrails over firhouse. :D

Yeah,

I looked at the images and I immediately tought that someone has got a job lot off a decommisioned US Navy ship. The price and hassel makes it a non starter unless you live in a region that the US think may be aiding terrorists.
