I wish it was that easy. Dont forget, this all has to be rock solid and alligned. i will need a little bit more than insulation tape. Hopefully it will be straight forward.

a trip to the car accessory shop for some spray paint is all that is left to do!

Almost there. I found a bit of piping that fits instead of the thick cardboard tube, so thats a plus. All thats left to do is fix the focuser in place. The tube is a mm or two larger than focuser so a bit more tweaking yet. Nothing but clouds here now though. Next time I post here It should be a picture of the finished scope.

Hi Folks.
Finished the scope last night. Just needs a little tarting up. I even managed to attach a finder to it. Here is a before and after pic. Much better looking before, but at least it will be used now.
Here is the finder attachment. It is just a ball and socket type joint that came with a webcam. It allows quick alignment and instant removal of the finder for transport.
I think I will plasticote the whole thing the same colour over the next few days.
