Hi,
I came across this guy in england who started off with a 60mm refractor and ended up with a mammoth system
www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~kevsmith/Equipment%20History.html
who says astronomy is not an expensive hobby.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

That guy needs some serious therapy . If he has a wife or partner they must be very understanding, I know I'd be divorced by now  .
It got me to thinking too, I've been an amateur astronomer fpr the past twenty years, my first scope was a Vixen 65mm refractor, which I still have. In the years that have followed I've owned 12x50 binos, 12x50 binios, 25x100 binos, a 250mm dob, a 93mm refractor, a 100mm refractor, a 200cm SCT and the last scope I bought was an 80mm Zenithstar, so in twenty years I've advanced 20mm, strange or what?
