Whats your favourite eyepiece ? was created by dave_lillis
Hi,
I'm trying to decide which of the eyepieces I have do I like the most,
for me I think its the 14mm meade UWA, it gives a great star point image and more importantly a good general magnification (178x).

Whats yours ?

I'm geting quite fond of the 31mm Nagler myself.
Not cheap - got it s/h.
Works very well with my scope.

Could I stretch that to eyepieces?
It's the same one only 2 of them.

In my limited collection
2 X WA17mm F.O.V65 deg eyepieces in binoviewer.
(50 sterling at Astrofest '06 - a real bargain)
Very nice for observing the Moon and planets.

Ah yes, the binoviewers are nice.
I have the WO ones with the WO 20mm Swan eyepieces.
When I use them on the Moon & planets, the detail is fantastic! A joy to use.

For a long time, my favourite was a generic 12mm, picked up in a chemist's shop in Bangor for £25. But now it is my Hyperion 17mm, kindly sold to me by Paul (Lunartic). I probably use it 80% of the time while observing, it's great for double stars, allowing them to be seen in a wide field. I'm hoping to pick up an 8mm soon.
I'd love to have a look through some binoviewers, but I don't know anyone who has a set.
