Does it come with its own hydraulic lift and oxygen mask?

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Crikey - never thoguht I would see a mainstream manufacturer offer scopes in those sizes.
The 50" would be a bit heavy to lift in and out of the car. Besides, I would probably need to sell the wife.
Might go for a 36" scope though...weights a mere 375lbs (27 stone). The 40" weighs 43 stone and the 50" weighs 64 stone.
Customs would have some fun seeing one of those come through shipping.

Surely it can't be portable? But a limiting mag of 17.4 - wow :bigshock:

I could do with an observatory assistant, especially on a night like tonight at -3 and with the snow cover freezing up ;)

oh my!, another target to aim for, another scope added to my "what I'll get if I win the lottery".
you'd need to parachute from a low passing plane to reach the eyepiece, and did you see the sun warning

Don't point a Monster Dob at the sun! Just pointing this at the sun can instantly damage eyepieces and cause irreversible eye damage and burns. Use extreme caution leaving it uncovered during daylight. Concentrated sunlight from this much aperture can damage the telescope or set its surroundings on fire!

Any muppet who points this thing at the sun deserves to be incinerated !
