Hi Guys, I don't how many of you have discovered the cool world of podcasting but there are some really cool podcasts out there!

If you have no idea what a podcast is install iTunes and just grab a random pod cast, the idea should become pretty obvious pretty quickly! BTW, this is one for broad band users only, many podcasts are quite large!

So far my favourite podcast is Skepticality. It is pod cast with loads of science news and enjoys rubbishing fruads like those who claim we didn't go to the moon and that they can contact your dead relatives. Basically it is a show about thinking scientifically and has lots of cool info on it. A recent cast had an hour long interview with the guy who runs www.badastronomy.com (Phil Plait) and there tends to be a lot of Astronomy content in the show.

I also just subscribed to one called Slacker Astrnomy and I'll let you know what I think of it when I've listened to a few eppisodes.

At astronomy ireland i hear murmurs of making the radio programme available on podcast too. Seems its the new buzz word!

The simplest way to subscribe to podcasts is to use the lastest version of iTunes that you can get for free from www.apple.com .

hi guys,

some info on RSS at . . .

news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/help/rss/339721...orts/cycling/rss.xml

. . . you'll see it's on the Cycling pages of the BBC site as I'm currently listening to commentary over the web of today's stage of the Tour de France (via Eurosport web site). If anyone is as much a TdF fan as I am then the BBC "Have your Say" section on the Cycling page has details of how to get live feed of the tv coverage from the TdF official web site.

sorry the above isn't quite astronomy but I really miss my Eurosport. Thanks NTL :x :x :x . . . or maybe even
