It has been a while since I posted anything - not that I have not been busy enough with the scope & camera. However, I always think that the forum here is frequented more by observers rather than imagers and if that is the case, I would imagine that RGB images are more of interest than the Narrow Band images I normally do. But today I have an RGB image  ........not that this subject would be an observable object.
It is interesting nonetheless. Also interesting, if you can look at the hi-res annotated image on my web site, is the amount galaxies in the background. Information on the subject of the image is, as usual, on the web page......and do have a look at some of the other images I have completed since I last posted here.

Welcome back, Brendan.

And I very much thank you for spending time producing an image of the nebula Mandel-Wilson 2.
It doesn't seem to matter whether you give us an RGB or a Narrowband image.
Each of your images are wonderful.

I haven't a single clue where this nebula is.
Nor am I aware as to who Mister Mandel and Mister Wilson are - that's assuming we are talking about 2 astronomers.
But I know you will fill us in on those details.

However I have to say your whole image is most beautiful.
And the colours are stunning too.
I wonder if one or two are carbon stars.

Very best regards, Brendan.

Aubrey.

Hi Aubrey - thanks very much for the nice comments. In truth I have no idea about Mandel & Wilson.....though I am sure we could find out without too much trouble. One thing I can tell you though is ...where this is....and the easiest way for me to do that is by taking a crop from the info on my web site....

Sorry that I cannot tell you about carbon stars but if you do manage to see the annotated image on the same page....you will surely be in awe of the amount of background galaxies in the image
Clear skies..... Brendan.

Hi Brendan,

I was delighted to see another one of your images posted on the forum. The high resolution image is striking, so very many thanks for capturing this part of the night sky for us. There is a nice array of DSO's to wonder over for sure. Each post you make always brings new information to the forum. For this reason alone, you should keep posting.

Clear skies,

Darren.

Thanks very much Darren.....I guess I just got lazy.
This afternoon I will put up a few other images.....as a follow up on this thread....without explanation....just a name and a link to the page on the web site. During bad weather earlier in the year, I went over some old images and improved them (I think)....
Let's see what I can put up.....no need to reply about any of them...just hope that again, you can go to the web site and see the Hi-Res images in question.

Brendan.

I will have to reduce the amount of attachments - I'll try two at a time.
