New Astrophotography Group was created by dmcdona
Folks - a new Yahoo group has been set up called "AstronomyLive".
The site is intended to cater for all questions and feedback on live astronomy webcasts - how to, tips and tricks etc.
Subscription is free - all are welcome. If this is a field you are interested in then pop along. Its bare at the moment but will hopefully soon fill up with members as it becomes 'advertised' in the US.
Cheers

Hi Dave P - no sign of an application yet...
Anyhow, the idea of the new group is as George Lilley states below:
"I would like to echo David in welcoming eveyone to our new group. I
hope that we can share ideas, and make our process one that will
bring Astronomy to eveyone's computer. Heaven knows our efforts
should be more constructive than some of the pages that kids hang out
on these days. Please jump right in and share your ideas and lets
see if we can create something really worthwhile."
Since this looks like it will be a group dominated by US members, some may think it might not be a wothwhile venture. However, we have a potential advantage her in Ireland (bar the weather). The US is 5 or more hours behind us. Anyone with the equipmenmt can transmit astro images to the US whilst it is still daylight there. As well as the spin-off benefit of the people that would watch such images, its a great opportunity to hone those astrophotography skills.
Cheers
