Hi Folks

First Mars image below



12 july 03:25 utc
cm 243
disc 10"
CG11 at f/20 TUC Raw mode Baader UV filter
329 frames out of 1157!!!!
Acquired with astronsnap and processed with Regi3 and PS.

Seeing wasn't great and dawn was well underway you can just see Syrtis Major appearing over the W horizon and Hellas shows up well also

Great shot Dave. Much better than my first attempt at it, but I hope iget to that stage eventually. I was thrilled just seeing it for the first time.

Nice image, better than most of mine from 2003!

But '329 frames out of 1157', very tricky to get steady images I guess.

It's very hard to squeeze any decent detail out of a 10" disc especially with the seeing so bad. Mars was only about 25Deg above the horizon and Iwas pushing at 300-odd bmps to stack.

Good image there Dave, I was contemplating giving it a go recently, but its just too wel into the morning for me right now.
Looks like the polar caps are giving a nice display.
It will be interesting to see if they deminish as the year goes on.
