Folks - we had clear skies in Celbridge early on last night, but that quickly changed... After about midnight, we had a clearing and in between the clouds I managed to capture NGC 2169 per Keith G's request...

Nice going Dave! Say, did you look at it visually at all? Did you notice anycolours in the stars that you could see? One thing about the DSI - it can pick up a lot odetail, but its all black and white! Colour is something I miss from looking at black and white star clusters!

Seanie - I don't do visual anymore Its too much of a pain to break down the DSI/focal reducer combo and then set it up again. Plus there's a good chance dust will get into the system.

The DSI does colour but I choose not to use it - at least for the mo. Its not great without the IR filter and my IR filter just adds to many motes to the image. When I get my hands on a 1.25" IR filter, I'll do colour - just for you :roll:
