did anyone see the halo around the moon?

ladies and gents,
when i was setting up my etx to test out this evening i noticed a halo around the moon it was fully 360 degrees around the moon. i got my 300d out and took a few pictures of about 5 secs. they were not great but i messed with the best one i had to see if i could bring it out. i tried to point it out on the photo with a red arrow. it is below the moon near the bottom of the picture. the standard lens was not wide enough to try to record the full thing so i tried to record the brightest part i could see at the bottom.

yes , there was a very wide halo around the moon , seen from my place,
very bright night too

I was walking into town at 9:40 and saw it alright, was very impressive looking. Radius twice the distance between the Moon and Mars.

Not a bad shot Stephen. If you had the camera on a tripod for that shot, it would have been nice, what with Mars encompassed by the halo too!
