Lads,
Here's an image of venus through the 12" this evening, it looked enourmous through the scope with a 26mm eyepiece.

This is a uncropped image, so you can see the planet is massive at the moment, nearly 1 arc-minute across.
I stacked 300 images in registax, Venus was just starting to go behind a chimney stack at this stage, so the seeing was all over then place, registax does a remarkable job of compensating for the atmospheric dispersion, eliminating the red and blue edges.

Jeex Dave thats a fabulous image. Its hard to say for definite but there looks to be some cloud markings even in that thin crescent.
