This glowing planetary nebula is nicknamed the Eskimo because, when viewed through ground-based telescopes, it resembles a face surrounded by a furry parka.

Dave, one of your best shots on my opinion! Definitely looks like the eskimo!, I 've observed this a few times, and it is all that it seems!

Nice tracking too! I see you had little wind at home last night, I went out for my 1st ever deep sky imaging sesion, with a new t-adapter and t-ring for the camera, but the 40mph winds did'nt help..... :cry:

Nice shot, you should submit that for publication!

Having seen a Hubble pic of it before, your photo, though small in coverage of the physical nebula, does resemble the Hubble one Dave, nice work! The furry hood comes out well!

Any chance of trying it out with colour filters?? :!:
