Hi folks,

Can people choosing to use external image hosting sites rather than the files section or their own websites please consider using www.flickr.com and add a tag to your images of IrishAstronomy.

The benefit of doing this is that all the pictues that people use here will be easily visible on one external image site and people can view them on this site www.flickr.com/photos/tags/irishastronomy/

There is also an RSS feed .

Issues:
Erikg notes the following in the flickr FAQ:

2. Why don't all the photos with a certain tag show up?

When you sign up for Flickr, your new account is marked as 'pending', until Flickr administrators have reviewed it to make sure you aren't posting offensive images, or junk downloaded from the web. When your account is 'pending' your photos won't show up in public photo lists, like Everyone's Photos, or pages that show all photos tagged with a certain tag.

It seems to take up to a couple of days for new flickr accounts to be reviewd and thier pictures included.

Since flicker has RSS it will be easy to suck this stream back into this site to make it easier for people to see the images.
