Antares Milkyway Area - Which is better? was created by Keith g
Hi all, since it's a rainy day, I had a chance to redo some of my exposures of the Antares Milkyway area with Deepsky stacker. I previously posted this shot some time ago when I manually stacked them in Photoshop7, but this new program is miles better, the detail it preserves is much greater. I am very happy with this shot, but due to minor processing differences in ps7, I'm really caught between the 'yellow' version and the 'blue' version'.
This is a stack of 6 exposures plus one dark at IS0 800, Canon ef 85mm lens at f4.0, total exposure time is 30mins, piggybacked on a C8.
Which one Guys??? I need your help !! I hope you think it's an improvement

Keith,
First, they are both great images! Absolutely superb!
My preference: the yellow one. The blue one looks too blue to me. Just MHO.

I've just spent a few minutes flipping back and forth between the two images and appart from now having an increased respect for Clyde Tombaugh I have come to the conclusion that I too perfer the 'yellow' one. It looks much more natural than the blue one, which, as has been said before, just looks too blue.
