So here is my first photo that I have dared post so far.
Taken on Saturday night with the wind howling around me with a phillips sp900 webcam. Took 900 frames but ended up throwing out all but 130 of them. No barlow used may try this next.
Thanks to John Murphy who manned the KC3c tools helpline to answer my "What do I click on now?" type questions. So this is what I got after much cycling through registax
Some of the smaller craters in the marie Hummerum are just 2 miles across

hi david
the secret to imaging the moon is to image it darker it will take that shine of the image then you can higher and lower the brighteness registax v4 witch is no line to download now and it free to download .
well done on the image remember practice makes prefect.
ps if you need any more help just ask.

DEEBEE echo DG1's remarks, really good detail. Sometimes we can go mad on the wavelets and that can cause the bright bits. When you get to waveltes change to gaussian and use number 1 and 2.

Dave - if that's your first effort then its a good one.
With more practice on shooting and processing, you will see improvements all the time.
Well done.

Nice one Dave,
Alot of detail in there, using the high number wavelets in registax can give you snow capped mountains in moon images, use the lower numbers for better effect, more frames would also be good, although taking it in a howling gale doesnt help you either.
