M31 Luminance WO 66sd was created by phoenix
Tried M31 tonight with a William Optics 66sd. Exposure was 100 x 20 seconds. A field flattener would help the field edges.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started

Holy CRAP! You go that image on a 66mm scope! Ok sorted! im definitely getting one when i have the dosh! Just a few Q's! Was the scope mounted on another one or just on a GOTO mount? What did you use to capture it? Toucam, ccd,Dslr?
Great image! Its in black and white so im guessing maybe a modded toucam, monochrome dsi or ccd?Lumenera?
Class image and thanks in advance!

WOW!! That is first class! Kieran hope you don't mind me saying but your imaging skills have gone up exponentially since you posted your first images on these boards, not so long ago. Keep up the great work.
You should try a two frame mosaic of M31? Would be totally cool!

Cheers guys,
I wish I had had time to get the RGB images but the clouds rolled in during the green imaging so I pulled the plug. I could have waited but the galaxy was going to be obscured by the house.
Matthew: camera is a SXV H16 ccd, scope mounted on Celestron CG5GT mount.
Dave: Every imaging session gives you a little bit more experience in do's and dont's. Last time I imaged M31 was with the 80mm and I was dead pleased with it. I was getting FWHM of about 1.8 with this image.
