It's beautiful, I can't find fault (you'll have to ask Dave McDonald for that).
I hope the folks here don't think that when I post ctritisism of images here that its negative
I've never ctitisised an image without pointing out the positives and suggesting improvements - so hopefully you see it as constructive critisism.
OK - so Dave, you ready?
Nice image - I bet you're bulling about the weather. I reckon the luminance data will really make this imagea jaw-dropper. You've a good RGB base to go on - I'm assuming your luminnace will be Ha. If so, I've seen this part of the sky imaged in Ha (monochrome) and it'll blow yer socks off! Good luck on getting it and serving us the finished product.

Yeah ya big whinger, always going on about petty things like the object not being in the fov at all or forgetting to turn on the camera. :sheesh:
Only kidding mate, I think everyone appreciates the fair and constructive points you make. I certainly do.

Your right Dave. I was hoping that last night would have been a real cracker, but unfortunately high pressure always seems to end up with cloud coming in off the Irish sea nowadays. Suppose it could be worse, I could be living in the west and have a whole cloud generating machine (otherwise known as the atlantic ocean) on my doorstep.
As for the image, I can't wait to get HA data and some broadband luminance too. I feel the trick here will be to mix HA with BB in a ratio of about 60/40. I was surprised the RGB went together at all cause the raw data wasn't the best. I was delighted to get even this much out of it. I hope the luminance will sharpen the detail to a good degree. Lets wait and see. Certainly those interference filters are worth their weight in gold, which is just as well as they nearly cost their weight in gold!!
Regards and Clear Skies,
Dave.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. . . .

Only messing with you Dave, what I really meant was I didn't feel worthy to criticise, and reckoned you were more qualified in that department. Any criticism on these boards (photography) is always constructive and is welcomed, our more seasoned contributors (read Dave) will always spot more "faults" or ways of improving than a newcomer to astrophotography (read me).

As for that John Murphy newbie...
Dave - good luck with the new data
