Upcoming Lunar Eclipse was created by Neill
Hi all,
I am looking for some tips in taking pics of the upcoming lunar eclipse on March 3rd. Normally the moon is very bright and requires very short exposure times - fractions of a second. What sort of exposure times would be appropriate for the moon during the eclipse - 1 second, 1/4 of a second? Your ISO is normally 100 or 200 when shooting the moon isn't, would that change?

Other factors to take into consideration include film versus digital, at what stage e.g. Full Moon (less exposure time, obviously), partial phase (slightly more), and totality (almost double your full lit phase). Sure, it will last long enough that you can take multiple exposures during the course of the event, then just keep the good ones when you're finished!
