Saturn Close encounter with the Moon
2/3/2007
Bray, Co Wicklow
Lunation 12.33 days
Ilumination 96.3%
Hand Held A Focal Shot
200mm/F6 Reflector
Meade 25mm , 2XBarlow
97X
02:33UT
Cannon Power Shot A 400
Image Rotated 180 degrees
Temp 1 degree C
I did a sequence of sketches last night and I will show them at COSMOS.
I grabbed my camera and took a series of A focal shots this is one of them my first ever photograph of Saturn
It was so cold, but what an amazing amazing visual encounter of a gas giant and our rocky Moon

That's a wonderful photo!
I love these kind of shots that bring home the difference in scale of these objects.

Nicely done Deirdre! It can be hard trying to get the hand-held shots sometimes. But, you've captured the moment there brilliantly!
