Another fine image Carl! :) You're getting the hang of that camera alright.

Nice image you got there Carl, but it registers as just a bit too blurred, and dark, in my opinion. I know you said before you like the darker 'setting', but it should be brightened up quite a bit really. Sometimes it can look like a lunar image was shot with a lens from a pair of sunglasses in the way! Doesn't look very natural.

Hope you don't take this a meaning it takes away from the work you've done, as I am sure it is just a matter of tweaking the raw image in e.g. Photoshop or something.

A good image, and a difficult crater to get right due to its range of brightness.
I had a look at this on Thursday night and clearly seeing the rille next to it that you have in the image,
I also think its abit dark, photoshop would bring that up for you.

Out of curiosity, would you consider the image I put up early this morning of the the full moon to be too bright, I wonder is there a monitor calibration thing going on here.

Seanie to be fair to Carl, Aristarchus is not know as the lunar lighthouse for nothing. The floor of this crater is very reflective , so in order to see any detail in the crater you need to under expose the rest of the scene. Failing that the crater floor would be burned out.

I think Carl managed to capture the crater details very well!
