Eastern Veil - Collaborative Effort

Well you asked for it in another thread so here it is.

Last night Dave Grennan and myself set out to use our combined resources to capture the Eastern Veil Nebula. I shot the luminance data and Dave shot the RGB data.

So here's the details;

Luminance:
William Optics ZS80IIEDF, SBIG ST8-XME
Astronomik H-Alpha filter.
20 x 5 minute exposures

RGB:

Celestron 80 EDF "Onyx" with WO 0.8x Reducer/Flattener
ATIK 16HRC
18 x 5 minute + 8 x 7.5 minute exposures.
Astronomik CLS filter.

General:
Both autoguided on Celestron CGE mounts.

Processing:
Images Plus v2.75, Photoshop CS2.

Stunning shot guys - and a lot less effort when you split the work-load! The guys I read about who are using this 'shared effort' technique are combining data gathered over months and years to produce Hubble-like shots!

This is an excellent result. It is also really good that both sets of data were taken at the same time so as to eliminate the variable seeing, for example, that would have existed if different days were used for the two parts.
