Melotte 15 - Open Cluster inside IC1805 was created by DaveGrennan
With an excellent night on Monday night, I spent the whole night imaging this target. Over 7 hours went into this exposure. What I did was took 12 x 10minute HA frame, 8 x 10mins in B and G and another 10 x 10 mins in L through the CLS filter. I then added the HA frames to the CLS and took 8 of the HA frames to make a R channel. The entire composition is here.
It's rare enough to get a night where the lack of clouds allows you to image all night. However on the odd occassion it does happen, I think it is worth the effort.
Anyways here's the image;

It was a fantastic night Dave, really clear and transparent. A great shot from an often overlooked target.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.
