Comet C/2007 F1 Loneos was created by Keith g
Hello All, I'm just in from my backgarden after easily viewing and capturing a shot of Comet C/2007 F1 Loneos. I quite easily found it about 45 minutes after sunset in the northwest sky through my 15x70mm binoculars, I found it was fairly bright too, with a distinguishable green tinted colour, and a slight hint of a faint tail !
Here is the best shot that I had got, using my Canon 400D with a zoom lens set at 150mm. This a a 50% crop at ISO 1600, 30 seconds at f4.5. You can just make out a hint of a tail.....

just back myself from observing, i managed to get my first look at it tonight but it was low and i haze but just visible in 10X50's.
I had a look in the 8" dob and it looked a little elongated but I wasn't sure.
Thats a lovely picture keith , the colour you captured in the comet is fantastic.
