What are the details of the shot? exp. time. cropped or not etc.

Well Frank, it's 3 x 30secs at ISO3200 at f5 - at the prime focus of the LXD75 6N AT scope. The RAWs were converted to TIFF using ACR4 within Photoshop Elements 5. The adjustments were done to make the first frame look "right" then the same adjustments were applied to the other frames - ACR makes this really easy to do.

The three TIFFs along with a TIFF Dark Frame made on another day (purists will wince at this point were processed Deep Sky Stacker 3.02 and the resulting TIFF was adjusted and cropped to approx 50% in Photoshop Elements 5. The Smart Curve and Neat Image plugins were used then the final image was resized for the web with "Save for Web".

Ideally I'd have had 10 or more frames to stack but I had a sound desk to operate in church so had to pack up. When I got back the sky had completely clouded over

Here's a wide field from this evening - 5 x 5secs 135mm f2.8 ISO3200 on static tripod. Far too windy to get anything longer.
