Comet 17P/Holmes December 1st was created by Keith g
Well, with the whole 15 minutes of clear night sky I've had the entire week in between the rain, I looked at Comet Holmes this evening with my 15x70mm binoculars, It looked bigger than the full moon, over a degree in diameter and still quite bright. It inspired me to really!!!! set up my C8 SCT fast, polar aligned manually and attached my 400D piggyback on top of the scope. I could hear the wind howling as another heavy shower was approaching from the west after this stormy day, and I managed to shoot these stacked 4 frames with my 70mm L lens. No time for darks as it was then raining
This is still a great sight!!!
The comet still has a beautiful oval shape, what do you think???

That's a very nice shot Keith! I'm hoping for some clearance tonight but it doesn't look like happening yet, despite the weatherman's promises
