OK, well, it's not rising, but I couldn't think of a more catchier title (suggestions welcomed!).
Orion this evening approx at 20:58hrs:
Canon 350D 28-80mm lens at 28mm, F11.0. 180 seconds at ISO800. Uncropped but resized. Imaged through Canon ZoomBrowser EX.
What I did with the image was, whilst taking it, I adjusted the focus, starting from in-focus at the beginning, then slightly turn the focus by hand every 30 seconds until I reached complete out-of-focus. That gave me 5 turns (6 combinations overall) during the shot. Some wind caused a slight aberration at times.
Seanie.

Where did I see that done before? Was it on Spaceweather.com? It has the warp factor feel about it. Copy an image of the Enterprise into the image Seanie.

I know the image you're talking about Kieran, I have it at the back of my Phillips Star Atlas 2000. I'll look it up.

Interesting image Seanie,
one thing about it is to take a much longer exposure to more out of focus the images becomes as the light is more spread out. You can get some really spectacular results imaging like this.
