Spiral Galaxy NGC 4321 M100 was created by eansbro
I processed this image of Spiral Galaxy NGC 4321 M100 a couple of nights ago. The image is mainly in the infrared and H alpha region which brings out the star forming areas.

Whoah... Incredible Eamonn.
There is some amount of detail there - presumably the reddish areas are star-forming?
Its cool the way you have gotten the detail without washing out the core.
Can you tell me why you chose the exposure times you did for each filter?
Thanks for sharing
Dave
p.s. - latest observer summary pages from MPC are in - no sign of slackers Ansbro, Grennan or McDonald

It seems that it is full of H-Alpha nebulae there, I would imageing the if you were on a planetanywhere in that galaxy, there would possibly visibily more nebulae in the sky compared to our own galaxy??
